A winning combination

This is a brand new family owned and operated taqueria close to Mid-Rivers Mall and Costco. Great authentic Mexican food. We enjoyed chicken quesadillas and tacos el pastor on our recent visit. Rosy is baking Mexican goodies in the back while Paco makes the tacos! The flan was still cooling, so we missed that, but will try it on our next visit! Eat in or take out, this is a tasty and genuine alternative to the chains and plastic "Mexican" food in most St Louis places. We felt like we were back in Southern California or Baja!

This is my second visit in three days. I can't remember the last time that I repeated a restaurant that quickly. The tacos are authentic tacos... small corn tortillas, lots of meat, a bit of chopped onion, and cilantro. Served with salsa, these are amazing. I have had tacos al pastor (pork) and today I am having carne asada. Both times were so wonderful, I am already planning how to fit in a third visit this week.
If you don't like onions or cilantro, or you think tacos are made with flour tortillas, there is a "Tex-Mex Taco" on the menu for you... gringos.

Friendly, local service

So Delicious!! We both loved our food and dessert. I had the chicken tacos and my hubby had the sopas! The nachos and salsa was amazing too. Fast friendly local service. Super close and super yummy!!! Thank you! We will be back very soon!

Dining at its best

Currently sitting with Paco, the owner of Rosy's Cakes & Paco's Tacos, and being thankful for the opportunity to meet great people like him and his wife Rosy. They opened up about a month ago in the little strip with the laundromat near Mexico and Spencer Rd.
In the 30 minutes that I've sat here talking to him, 6 different customers have walked in. Each one he greeted by name and shook their hand. He genuinely cares about each case person as a person and not just a customer in a way I haven't seen in an owner in years. Everyone has a dream but so many people don't have the courage to try to achieve it. I can see in the way he holds himself and hear in the way he speaks that he is not one of those people. He has the courage to risk it all and the heart to make it happen... Honestly I could eat here everyday just to help him succeed.
But did I mention the street tacos are amazing and cheap too? Please go check out this place and take the time to talk to him and Rosy. You won't regret it.

Affordable prices

We tried Rosy's and Paco's on recommendation from a friend. We've eaten there twice now and have been pleased with the food and service both times. Seating is limited but you can get carry out. I got the chipotle chicken salad and it was enough for 2 or 3 people!! Our kids love it too. The prices are right and Rosy and Paco are very sweet - feels like eating at a friend's house. The salsa is awesome!!!!

Fresh ingredients

I think I might dream about the sopes tonight...they were THAT good! Everything was fresh...from the salsa to the onions and cilantro that topped the asada street tacos. We will be back with friends!!

Thank you for the great lunch.
